Reunion Blues Vintage Guitars Road Show – Part 3
Oct/105
In the third segment of Reunion Blues’ Vintage Guitars Road Show, the show hits up Bananas at Large in California. Highlights include: * A very rough ‘69 Jazz Bass with so many modifications – including removal of the binding, and the owner’s name and SSN etched into the hardware – the appraisers get a little upset. Still, the bass’ value will surprise you. * The single prototype of Fender’s Gold Custom Shop Strat. There was a limited run of 100, which was commissioned for NAMM’s 100th anniversary in 2001. * Near-perfect 1961 SG-style Les Paul Jr.

1960’s Vintage Guitar Demo – Blues solo in G – Fender Bronco amp

This is a video of some G blues with a Guitar that a generous customer donated to the store. I’m not sure what make it is but I’m guessing it’s a late 60’s/early 70’s budget Guitar. It was in unplayable condition when I got it but after some TLC it plays great although it isn’t capable of holding tune too long and the intonation is not adjustable. I really like the sound of the pickups on this. One of the best features of this Guitar is that someone at some point soldered a penny into the D string machine head as a fix. Feel free to come by JR Guitars and check this thing out, it’ll always be here because it’s not for sale!
